These particular foxgloves were a five minute walk from my studio

the remains of sea pink flowers and thick lichens

It felt like we were both doing exactly the same thing in different ways

I never tire of watching these colouful little birds going about their daily business of fishing and flying back to their burrows with beaks full of sand eels. They have to work so hard to find and catch their food, and once back to the islands, they have to avoid being "mugged" by gulls who try to steal their catches. So it's lovely to see them
